I don’t understand society. Why should all females be forced to limit their lives, simply because of an action that few [mostly] men make? Why should the victims be held responsible, when it is the perpetrator, and the perpetrator alone who has the power to avoid a rape? By telling females that their clothing was a reason they were raped is basically a means of holding the victim responsible for the perpetrators actions.
Society- stop, just stop. Yes, women can be scared into taking self defense classes and doing what they can to defend themselves, but when it comes down to it, the only 100% sure means of avoiding rape is for individuals to stop raping. When it comes down it it, women are being held responsible for rapists’ actions. Victim blaming? Really not fucking cool guys.
